I am Shahin Shadfar, founder and Chief Executive Officer of omNovia Technologies, a global provider of high quality web and video conferencing software based in Houston, TX (more info at www.omnovia.com).

While at Supelec in France, I selected the Metz campus so I can also attend Georgia Tech. I later moved to Atlanta to finish a Masters in EE I started in Metz. Upon my graduation, I was hired in an R&D center at Schlumberger in the USA where I had the opportunity to work in the team that invented and marketed a new generation of Smart Cards. A few years later, I founded omNovia Technologies which has been a successful venture.

Attending GTL evidently changed the course of my life in a very positive way. Beyond the important linguistic, academic and cultural impacts, GTL allowed me to acquire a solid and confident position in the US.
